Pool Disinfection

Pool disinfection in swimming pools can lead to various issues, such as swimmers developing rashes, the formation of slimy substances (i.e. bacterial biofilms) on the pool walls or floor, a chlorine-like odor, cloudy water quality, algae growth, and so on. The main reasons for inadequate disinfectant dosage: 1) insufficient chlorine disinfectant dosage; 2) high pollution load in the swimming pool; 3) rapid evaporation of residual chlorine in pools exposed to direct sunlight.
We recommend using TCCA products with stability as a disinfectant for swimming pools. During the operating hours of public swimming pools, test the free residual chlorine every 2 hours, ensuring that the free residual chlorine level is maintained above 0.5ppm. This is one of the best options to prevent poor disinfection in swimming pools. If the pool has already experienced poor disinfection, it is necessary to perform a shock treatment on the pool using the BOWS™ brand Super Shock product.
