Algae growth commonly occurs in outdoor swimming pools, but indoor pools exposed to sunlight can also experience algae proliferation. For algae to thrive in a swimming pool, three conditions must be met simultaneously; otherwise, algae growth will not occur. These three conditions are: (1) the presence of algae spores in the pool; (2) exposure of the pool to sunlight; (3) a water environment in the pool conducive to algae growth. Algae can flourish when the concentration of disinfectants in the pool water is too low or when there is an insufficient amount of algicide.
When algae have grown in the swimming pool,
first adjust the free residual chlorine in the pool water to above 3.0ppm, then
add 3 to 5 grams of Super Algaecide per ton of
pool water. Generally, the water in a pool with algae will become cloudy, so
when treating the pool for algae, it is also necessary to add 2 grams of Enzyme Clarifier per ton of pool water. After two
filtration cycles, the algae in the pool water will be killed, and the water
will become clear.
The Super
Algaecide developed and produced by BOWS™ can kill various types of
algae in the pool water, including green algae, brown algae, and black algae.
You can add Super Algaecide at a rate of 3
grams per ton of water every 7 or 15 days as a preventive measure against algae
growth.
