Pool surface dirt generally displays in two phenomena. One is the formation of scale on the pool surface due to hard water, or the formation of rust on metal fixtures such as metal ladders, and the deposition of colored metal ions on the pool surface creating metal stains. The other is the presence of greasy stains on the pool surface, such as marks above the waterline.

For the first type of scale, rust, or metal stains, ordinary scrubbing is ineffective and deep cleaning is required. In such cases, the BOWS™ brand Scale cleaner (for scrub) product should be chosen. When cleaning scale or rust, the Scale cleaner (for scrub) can be diluted in a 1:9 ratio (Scale cleaner(for scrub) to water). Apply the solution to the area to be cleaned, and after 15 minutes, scrub with a scouring pad or cloth.

When cleaning metal stains, the Scale Cleaner (for scrub) can be dissolved in a 1:4 ratio (Scale Cleaner (for scrub) to water). Apply the solution to the area to be cleaned, and after 30 minutes, the color will fade away automatically.
