The discoloration of swimming pool water mentioned here specifically refers to the change in color caused by the oxidation of excessive metal ions in the pool water by oxygen in the air or chlorine disinfectants. Originally clear swimming pool water may suddenly turn green, reddish-brown, or black due to the presence of corresponding copper, iron, or manganese ions in the water. If multiple oxidizable metal ions are present simultaneously, the pool water can display various unusual colors.
When the swimming pool water has already
changed color, you can choose Color Remover
developed and produced by BOWS™. It can remove the oxidized color displayed by
the pool within one pool water circulation cycle (generally 4 to 6 hours),
making the pool water clear. Based on experience, adding 7 to 10ml of Color Remover per ton of water can solve the problem
of water discoloration.
The standard dosage of Color Remover should
be calculated according to the formula:
Standard dosage (ml) = Metal ion
concentration (mg/L) × Total water volume (T) × 12.8
When treating discoloration in swimming
pool water, it is necessary to simultaneously add 4 grams of Enzyme Clarifier per ton of water. It can help filter
out excessive metal ions in the pool water, preventing the pool from repeatedly
experiencing discoloration.
If the swimming pool water appears black,
please follow these steps for treatment:
Step One, add TCCA chlorine disinfectant to
adjust the free residual chlorine in the pool water to above 3.0ppm.
Finally, keep the swimming pool filtration
system running for at least one cycle. Of course, the longer it runs, the
better the water discoloration issue will be addressed.
